Terms of Service
Thank you for using CompEdge. CompEdge is provided by Nayrix Software Solutions ("Nayrix", "we", "our" or "us"). These terms explain how our service works and what you can expect from us. By creating an account or generating a brief, you accept these terms. If you have any questions about them, we're happy to help at compedge@nayrix.com.
1. What CompEdge is
CompEdge prepares research briefs on companies. Each brief is written by our AI research system, which researches the company on the web at the time you request it. Briefs are delivered directly to you and are not reviewed by a person beforehand.
2. AI-written briefs and professional advice
CompEdge briefs are written by AI and can contain mistakes. Check important facts before you rely on them.
Each brief states its confidence level and notes anything it could not find. Briefs are provided for research purposes and are not investment, legal, tax, accounting or other professional advice.
If you use a brief in work for your clients, your own professional judgement and obligations continue to apply, and that work remains your responsibility.
3. Your account
You can sign in to CompEdge with your Google account. Please keep your account secure, and let us know at compedge@nayrix.com if you believe someone else has accessed it. CompEdge is intended for people aged 18 and over, for lawful professional use.
4. Fair use
We ask that you use CompEdge responsibly. In particular, please do not:
- use CompEdge to research, profile or target private individuals, as it is designed for researching businesses;
- use briefs to mislead others, or present unchecked information as confirmed fact;
- share your account, work around usage limits, or access the service by automated means;
- attempt to disrupt, probe or reverse-engineer the service;
- use CompEdge for any unlawful purpose.
If an account is used in a way that goes against these guidelines, we may need to suspend or close it.
5. Plans, pricing and billing
You can buy brief credits, at $12 for a single brief or $45 for a pack of five, or subscribe to Pro at $39 a month or $390 a year, which includes 20 briefs in each 30-day cycle. Current prices are always shown in our pricing section.
Prices are in US dollars, and checkout may show the equivalent amount in your local currency. Payments are made through secure checkout with our payment partner, who calculates any applicable taxes at checkout and issues your receipt. Their checkout terms also apply to your payment.
- Credits are added to your account once your payment is complete, and they never expire. Each brief uses one credit, after any briefs already included in your plan.
- Pro renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time by emailing compedge@nayrix.com, and Pro stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. Unused Pro briefs do not carry over to the next cycle.
- If a renewal payment does not go through, Pro is paused until the payment is completed. Any credits you bought separately remain available to you.
6. Failed briefs and refunds
A brief that fails to generate is never charged and does not count against your usage. If a brief generates but is not usable, please email compedge@nayrix.com and we will gladly regenerate it or return the credit.
Unused credits, and the first payment for a Pro subscription, are refundable in full if you ask within 14 days of purchase. To request a refund, simply email compedge@nayrix.com from the address on your account. Refunds are returned to your original payment method, and refunded credits are removed from your account. Your rights under the consumer laws where you live are not affected.
7. Ownership and use of briefs
You are welcome to use the briefs you generate in your own work and in your clients' work, including client deliverables. The CompEdge service, including its software, design and prompts, belongs to us. Any third-party information cited in a brief remains the property of its owners.
8. Privacy
Your privacy matters to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.
9. Availability and changes to the service
We work hard to keep CompEdge available and reliable, although there may be occasional interruptions. We may improve, change or retire features over time, and we will give you reasonable notice before any material change to a paid plan.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, CompEdge is provided "as is". We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions made on the basis of a brief. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. This does not affect any consumer protections you are entitled to under the laws of the country where you live.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page, and if a change is significant, we will let you know before it takes effect.
